Deborah Bond Dance Academy:History

This is held during the Spring term over a week-end and includes the heats and finals. Classes start from Grade III up to Advance II. There is a free class followed by a pre-set dance. Competitors are judged on their technique, performance skills and musicality. The standard is extremely high and pupils must have gained previous exams with an A grade and their performance award.

This is held during the Summer term. There are 3 sets of heats held in London, Swindon and Manchester. Those chosen go through to the finals in London where they take part in a free 45 minute class followed by their own solo.

    Catriona Mackay.
Catriona gained a place in the finals of the Junior Section  2007 and was awarded the class prize at the Swindon heats.
Nicol Edmonds.
Won the Boys cup of the premiere section 2007.

Won the Senior Outstanding Dance Award 2007.

Gained a place at the London finals in the junior section 2005 and won most outstanding dance in the Junior section 2006.

Runner-up in the junior section in 2001.
Winner of the Grade V class at the Imperial Ballet Awards 2002.

The Star Tap awards are held in London over one day usually in Oct / Nov. Students take part in a class and perform a solo and from this the winners are chosen.
